Columbus, Indiana, USA
AIM Media Indiana is a publisher of daily and weekly newspapers in central and southern Indiana, based in Columbus. Its titles include The Republic (Columbus), the Daily Journal (Franklin), the Daily Reporter (Greenfield), The Tribune (Seymour) and the Brown County Democrat (Nashville), with a combined circulation of nearly 55,000. It is an affiliate of AIM Media Management, based in Dallas, Texas.
The company's flagship paper traces to The Columbus Republican, founded by Isaac T. Brown in 1872. The Brown family's Home News Enterprises, LLC grew the operation across six generations before selling its publishing, online and commercial printing assets in November 2015 to AIM Media Indiana, LLC, an affiliate of AIM Media Texas. AIM Media was founded in 2012 by Jeremy L. Halbreich, former president and general manager of The Dallas Morning News and former chairman and CEO of Sun-Times Media, who first built AIM Media Texas by purchasing Rio Grande Valley newspapers from Freedom Communications. Jeffrey N. Brown, Home News Enterprises' president, remained in an operating role after the sale. Richard Clark succeeded Bud Hunt as vice president and group publisher for AIM Media Indiana in November 2022.
